Welcome to my website and blog JuliaWriting.ca (also as Juliasargeaunt.ca) Writing is important for me but I do lot more than writing. Hey, I’m curious , I listen. I even eavesdrop sometimes.
My novel, Pardon my Camino, is now available and has taken wings out into the big wide world. Please check it out on Amazon Kindle as an ebook or paper back, or Kobo as an eBook.
And now also as an Audiobook, available on Spotify, Amazon, Audible, Kobo and all those other audiobook sites. Ask for it from your library as it is there on Libby and Overdrive.
More details for the book here.
I am Julia Sargeaunt, a bilingual Canadian of British heritage living in western Canada in the city of Edmonton, Alberta. Here I am with husband; my family are nearby with a couple of grandchildren. How lucky am I!
For many years I worked in broadcast production, radio and TV, French & English. All in the past as now I am retired. My present big project is my 90,000 word novel: Pardon My Camino. It was a big challenge and education to get my book published, so part of this blog is indeed about writing and the writing business and the adventures of self-publishing. The story is all about a Canadian couple walking the Camino pilgrim path in Spain where they are confronted with sorting out their lives. There’s lots drama, discoveries, friendship, laughs, and wine. “Churchy bits and sex” I tell people! I am passionate about the Camino de Santiago de Compostela and will be posting about the many ways I love it! If you are a Camino fan, this book is like a Camino fictional guide, and lots of fun and discoveries.
Then there is the rest of my life to blog about – like tai-chi and my walking group, I think that’s all Life Style. The Covid diary is still there, (hmm, should I take it down or is it like social history…), then there’s my doodley Art. I can rabbit on about things, like friendship or the sins of day time reading; that would be Random Thoughts. Luckily it is all optional for you dear reader but I will do my best to be witty and relevant.
